Competent Person Service
As your appointed Competent Person, our experienced consultants provide ongoing Health & Safety advice and practical support to help your school or Trust meet its responsibilities. You will have access to clear guidance, responsive support and online resources including policies, templates, risk assessments and accident reporting tools.
Health & Safety Management Audits
Our Health & Safety Management Audits provide an independent review of your school’s existing arrangements, policies and procedures. We identify areas of good practice, highlight potential gaps and provide a clear, prioritised action plan to help your school continually improve its approach to Health & Safety.
Onsite Support Visits
Our consultants can visit your school to provide practical, hands-on support with Health & Safety matters. From reviewing higher-risk areas and working practices to supporting risk assessments, contractor management and remedial actions, we provide clear advice tailored to your school environment.
Educational Visits Advisor
Acting as your appointed Educational Visits Advisor, we provide specialist advice and support to help schools and academy trusts plan and manage educational visits safely and effectively. We can support schools using both the eVisit and EVOLVE systems, providing guidance, oversight and review of visit arrangements.
Our Advisors are AAOLEV members and deliver accredited Educational Visits Coordinator (EVC) and Visit Leader training.
Fire Risk Assessments
Our qualified fire risk assessors undertake comprehensive Fire Risk Assessments across school and academy sites, identifying potential risks and providing clear, prioritised recommendations. Our team can also provide ongoing advice and support to help schools manage remedial actions and maintain effective fire safety arrangements.

First Aid Training Courses for Schools
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace. Upon successful completion, candidates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to manage a range of injuries and illnesses that may arise at work, and provide effective emergency first aid. As a regulated qualification, this course allows employers to easily meet their legal requirements for providing high-quality first aid training, without the need for extensive due diligence checks.
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid is suitable for those with Level 2 and/or Level 3 childcare qualifications working in early years settings, helping meet EYFS staff-to-child ratio requirements. Candidates will learn the roles of a paediatric first aider and gain the skills to provide safe and effective treatment in various first aid situations.
Combining the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) and the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid into 3 extended days of classroom learning, this specially designed course minimises the number of training days required to achieve both qualification. Candidates will cover a range of topics needed to provide effective first aid for adults, children and infants including CPR and defibrillation, choking, stroke, head injuries, asthma and much more.
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work certifies individuals as workplace emergency first aiders. Upon successful completion, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations. This 1-hour awareness course is designed for individuals responsible for providing basic life support to those experiencing seizures, whether at work, home, or in community and voluntary settings. Successful candidates will gain essential knowledge to understand the causes of epilepsy, identify its signs and symptoms, manage different types of seizures, and administer emergency medication with confidence.
This 1-hour awareness course equips individuals with the knowledge and confidence to understand the causes of asthma, recognise its signs and symptoms, and assist with medication administration in an emergency. This training is essential for workplaces, schools, and community environments. Successful candidates will gain a deeper understanding of asthma’s impact and the necessary workplace considerations to ensure a safe and supportive setting.
This 2-hour training session is designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage key medical emergencies. The course covers how to recognise symptoms, respond appropriately in an emergency, and administer essential first aid to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals experiencing a severe allergic reaction, seizure, or asthma attack. Mental Health First Aid Training Courses for Schools
The Qualsafe Level 1 Award in Introduction to Mental Health in the Workplace is designed to raise awareness of mental health challenges and break down stigma in professional environments. Promoting good mental health, both at work and in everyday life, builds resilience, enhances productivity, and fosters a more compassionate culture.
The Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace is designed to raise awareness of mental health in the workplace. It equips learners with the knowledge and confidence to recognise signs of poor mental health, offer appropriate support, and contribute to a healthier, more supportive work environment.
