YMD Boon was appointed by Djanogly Strelley Academy, part of Djanogly Learning Trust, to provide funding support and manage refurbishment works to expand its nursery provision.
Through the Department for Education’s School-Based Nursery Capital Grant, we assisted the Academy in securing funding to create additional early years places as part of the government’s national initiative to increase free school-based nursery provision.
The project has delivered twenty new places for two-year-olds, complementing the school’s existing nursery offer for three-year-olds and significantly enhancing early years capacity.
Internally, the existing building has been carefully altered and refurbished to include the main nursery area, cloakroom, WC facilities, a kitchen and office area and entrance lobby. Externally, a specially designed outdoor area encourages play, exploration, and social growth in a safe and stimulating setting.
We are absolutely delighted with the nursery unit for our new two-year-old provision. From the very first visit, YMD Boon demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and a genuine commitment to delivering a space that was truly fit for purpose. They worked closely with us to redesign the building, ensuring every detail met our needs.
