We were appointed by Lutterworth College to carry out a site-wide toilet and changing room refurbishment. This incorporated the refurbishment and alteration to 8 toilet and changing areas across the campus.
Over a period of 6 months, we upgraded all the outdated WC and changing facilities as well as creating new open-plan, multi-sex use toilet areas to conform to the latest guidance for schools. The programme was split into phases to minimise disruption, the works were completed over holiday periods and during full occupation of the college.
The new facilities included changing rooms, ambulant disabled WCs, disabled changing facilities and mixed-use WC areas to create an inclusive environment for all building users.
The refurbished areas now have slip resistant hard wearing vinyl floor coverings with coved skirting upstands, fully compliant sanitaryware with full height IPS systems, shower cubicles and composite wash troughs. Hard wearing changing room benching was installed as well as modern heating and ventilation systems and LED lighting.
