Bingham Enterprise Centre

YMD Boon was appointed to provide architectural services for the design and delivery of a new office building at Bingham Arena in Bingham, Nottinghamshire.

The development, known as the Bingham Enterprise Centre, provides modern, flexible workspace to support local businesses and entrepreneurs. The building comprises six offices at ground floor and six offices at first floor, alongside shared facilities including a breakout area, meeting room and collaborative working space designed to encourage networking and productivity.

A fabric-first approach was adopted to maximise the building’s thermal performance and energy efficiency, enabling the scheme to achieve a zero-carbon outcome.

Due to programme constraints, the design stage, including consultation with key stakeholders, was completed within an intensive four-week period. Working closely with the client team, we produced initial layout options and concept sketches for early review. Following feedback, the layouts were refined to ensure functional adjacencies and operational requirements were fully captured before being reissued for client approval.

The Enterprise Centre sits adjacent to the sustainable Bingham Arena Leisure Centre, also designed and delivered by YMD Boon, which includes the Bingham Jubilee Community Hall.
