Roof Replacement

YMD Boon was appointed by Gartree High School to deliver roof replacement works to the main school building and sports hall.

We successfully secured £3.5m of Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) funding from the Department for Education and were subsequently appointed to provide project management and contract administration services. MJE Contracts (Leicester) Ltd was appointed as the contractor for the scheme.

The funding application was supported by detailed condition surveys, structural investigations, and feasibility studies, which identified the need for comprehensive upgrades. Following approval, YMD Boon has managed the project through to completion.

The main school building works have been delivered across six carefully planned phases, allowing the school to remain operational throughout. Works to the sports hall are due to commence following completion of this phase.

The project addresses key condition issues, including roof leaks and deteriorating ceilings. Key works include roof repairs with full waterproofing and insulation, ceiling repairs and replacements, and the installation of new flooring and carpets.
