New development provides high-quality affordable homes in Blaby District

< Back to All News

The construction phase of a new affordable homes development in Littlethorpe, Leicestershire is now concluded, with the final homes handed over to residents earlier this month.

About the Development

Situated on Warwick Road, the development occupies an area of approximately 8,200 sqm, featuring a total of 32 affordable homes. East Midlands Homes (EMH) Group, which provides homes for Blaby District Council tenants, has made 16 new homes available for rent and 16 were offered to market via shared ownership schemes. Each property boasts a private garden and driveway, providing residents with a comfortable and secure living environment.

Catering to a variety of local housing needs, the development includes a mixture of bungalows, 2-bed semi-detached homes and 3-bed semi-detached homes. Ten properties were built facing Warwick Road, with the remaining homes nestled within a cul-de-sac with a shared outdoor area.

This new housing initiative effectively addresses the increasing demand for affordable housing and tackles the shortage of rural social housing in the area.
