We offer two basic levels of assistance for Health & Safety support which are detailed in our Support Service Plans. These run annually and prices vary depending on the size of the school or business.

In addition to our Support Plans, we offer a separate e-Learning Training Academy service which provides detailed online courses on Health & Safety compliance, Fire Safety awareness, Food Safety compliance, Working at Height awareness and more.

Having access to all Health & Safety training courses in one place makes it much easier to keep on top of your organisation’s training needs and allows you, and your staff, to complete the training in your own time and at your own pace.

If you require one-off training on a particular Health & Safety topic, our team can deliver standalone training courses on-site or online throughout the year.

Specifically for schools and academies, we can set up your establishment on our intuitive eVisit system, developed by the Outdoor Education Advisers Panel (OEAP).

The platform is designed to support Visit Leaders, Headteachers and Educational Visit Co-ordinators and encourages the safe planning of outdoor education, offsite visits and adventurous activities, in line with OEAP guidance.

In addition to the eVisit system, we can offer constructive Health & Safety advice via telephone or email on your upcoming educational visits.

Our Support Service Plans

Option 1: Competent Person Service

Includes the following:

• Acting as the ‘appointed competent person’ for Health & Safety.

• Solution-based Health and Safety advice, assistance and support.

• Reliable telephone/email advice available weekdays from 9am-5.30pm.

• Guaranteed response within 24 hours to all Health and Safety queries.

• Access to a range of policies, procedures and risk assessments.

Option 2: Additional On-site Support

Includes all of Option 1 as well as:

• Delivery of face-to-face training across a range of important topics.

• Assistance with developing Health and Safety policies.

• Proactive support with Health and Safety inspections.

• Assistance with premises related Health and Safety management.

• Support when dealing with enforcement agencies.

• Support with incident and accident investigations.

• Comprehensive Health and Safety compliance audits.

DDAT have worked with the Health and Safety Team at YMD Boon for 7 years. The Health and Safety audits that are carried out across the family of DDAT schools are detailed and informative with clear action points identified.

The added value provided by the team in following up their visits to check on progress is invaluable and allows the Trust Board to have effective oversight across schools’ health and safety performance.
