YMD Boon project shortlisted for Construction Project of the Year at EMPD Awards 2022

YMD Boon are thrilled to announce that one of our latest Blue Light Emergency projects has been recognised and shortlisted for Construction Project of the Year at the East Midlands Property Dinner 2022.

The EMPD Awards is celebrating its 22nd year as the region’s premier property showcase that attracts a strong and diverse range of submissions promoting the quality of the build environment.

 

About the Shortlisted Project

The new joint headquarters for Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services has been shortlisted for the Construction Project of the Year award.

Working alongside Henry Brothers Ltd, Gleeds & Howard Ward Associates Ltd, YMD Boon were appointed as Architects to design and deliver the impressive three-storey building at Sherwood Lodge in Arnold, Nottingham.

The new HQ contains shared office space, a new police control room, a new strategic and tactical control room, a sports hall, conference rooms, gymnasium and canteen.

Other key features include the addition of a new circular access road, the installation of an outdoor exercise trail for staff and a joint memorial garden dedicated to the memory of staff from both organisations who have died in service.
