We were appointed by Inspiring Primaries Academy Trust (IPAT) to carry out a major expansion and internal remodelling of All Saints C of E Primary School in Leicestershire.
Initially, we carried out a thorough area and net capacity assessment of the facilities and identified area deficiencies. We reviewed the school accommodation in accordance with BB103. We worked closely with the Trust, School Governors and Senior Management to produce a master plan in line with the Primary School’s aspirations to grow the school from 150 pupils to 420 pupils.
Based on the master plan and priorities, we liaised with the local authority to obtain Basic Need and Section 106 funding. As well as this, we carried out various condition surveys of the school buildings and grounds and secured funding for any necessary works through CIF bids.
We agreed to deliver the project in five phases over 6 years to ensure the primary school remained functional during the construction period. The phases consisted of expansions to EYFS, KS1 and KS2 including multiple new classrooms, admin offices, toilet accommodation and other ancillary facilities.
