We were appointed by Learn Academies Trust to prepare and submit a Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) bid to carry out the replacement of defective roof coverings at St Andrews C of E Primary School.
Large sections of the existing roofing were in a poor state of repair with areas blistering, cracking and allowing significant water ingress into the school building.
We assisted the school by preparing all the documentation for the CIF Bid process, which included a condition survey, proposed plans, project programme, risk register, contractor quotations, cost plan and a cashflow forecast.
We were successful in securing approximately £119k of funding for the school’s project.
We replaced 544m² of defective roofing, thus providing a dry safe working environment for both children and staff. In carrying out the works, we eliminated damp and water ingress from defective roofing and removed mould build up and associated health risks.
We also improved thermal efficiency of building envelope, reduced heating and energy costs incurred by school and provide new roofing installation with 25 years fully insurance backed guarantee.
