We were appointed by St Peter’s C of E Primary School to prepare and submit a Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) bid to replace defective roof coverings across the entire school whilst the school remained in full occupation.
We assisted the school by preparing all the documentation for the CIF Bid process, which included a condition survey, proposed plans, project programme, risk register, contractor quotations, cost plan and a cashflow forecast.
We were successful in securing approximately £250k of funding for the school’s project.
Over a period of 30 weeks, we carried out the roof covering replacement, including upgrading the insulation to provide improved thermal performance to meet with Building Regulations and the installation of new triple glazed polycarbonate rooflights.
The roof area consists of a series of cut to fall sloped sections with curved raised upstands, falling to a central flat area with a combination of internal drainage outlets and perimeter rainwater gutter system.
