We were appointed by Gleeds Global on behalf of Lovat Fields to re-organise and refresh the Retirement Village’s existing facilities to secure the future viability and attractiveness of the village.
The Retirement Village, based in Milton Keynes, consists of 259 one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments and bungalows. The existing facilities include a café, drinks bar, shop, fitness suite, restaurant, village hall, hairdressers, and a library, an IT suite and more.
Our aim was to provide a modern, fully accessible social hub for residents of all age groups and their friends and family. We also ensured a safe community that promotes health and living independence.
Our initial approach was to conduct a detailed review of the current needs and usage of the existing facilities against the future demands of current and prospective new residents. This was achieved via the use of questionnaires, surveys and visioning workshops where we presented the design to the stakeholders’ representatives.
