Boston Borough Council have granted funding for The Mayflower development, a flagship project that is set to significantly improve adult learning in Boston.

Under designs by YMD Boon, The Mayflower will boast a unique learning, business and community space. It will offer an improved sense of location and enhance the aspirations of all learners at the College.

Steve Day, Associate Architect at YMD Boon, commented:

“We’re delighted that The Mayflower has been granted planning approval. This will be a fantastic addition to Boston College’s local campus and a great asset for the town and local community. We look forward to the project progressing on site.”

Boston Town Deal

In 2021, Boston secured £21.9m in Town Deal funding from the government to deliver an ambitious vision that will level up Boston and bring transformational improvements.

The Mayflower is one of Boston Town Deal’s projects. Another project to be carried out by YMD Boon includes the redevelopment of the Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex to provide additional facilities and transform the leisure provision, all under one roof.
